I bought Andrew this graphic novel for Xmas... and I've been reading it too.. and wow...

if you like Marvel comics... then this is pretty cool...

it's like... what if all the marvel comic character you love (except Wolverine... bitches... where's WOLVERINE dammit) were in a universe 400 years in the past...

awesome...

OMG... Did you see Heroes on Monday... HOLY FUCK...

I am REALLY digging the new dark Evil Peter...

when he shouted at Issac and made him FLY ACROSS THE ROOM like that...

oooh... um... spoiler alert I guess...

but... whatever... IT WAS AWESOME... he's got the voice like from Dune...

is that part of the telekinesis power he sapped from Sylar... or is that another power... and since he's got ONE of Sylars powers... does that mean he's got ALL of Sylar's powers... maybe even his original... kinda pussy "I can sense OTHER heroes powers" power...

I still think maybe it's not that too many powers are messing up his brain and will cause him to EXPLODE but maybe that something inside Sylar that was transferred to Peter is causing him to be all EVIL and AWESOME... and will cause him to explode...

anyway... I want it to be Heroes Monday NOW...

so... I'm not the biggest Superman fan... but I do love the Christopher Reeve movies...

my favorite being Superman II...

(you know... the ZOD one)

so I recently bought the NEW Richard Donner directors edition and I'll be damned if it wasn't a much better movie...

my biggest problem was that LOIS WAS AN IDIOT

(the main reason I absoFUCKINGlutely HATE the new Superman Returns was because of

Kate "look at my sternum... isn't it sexy... LOOKIT" Bosworth)

she's supposed to be this WORLD FAMOUS STAR REPORTER and she can't fucking figure out that Clark Kent is SUPERMAN...

in the NEW directors cut... the first scene where Clark comes into the Daily Planet offices... Lois is reading a story (she wrote) on Supes in the paper... and she does an instant double take... grabs a black marker and DRAWS GLASSES AND A HAT onto the picture of Superman...

like... WOW... finally...

when she confronts him... of course he denies it... so she throws herself OUT THE WINDOW... which... you know... awesome... and Clark (predictably) uses his powers to save her without actually showing up as Superman to do it...

she's still not convinced... and so... remember that scene in the honeymoon suite where he drops her hair brush into the fire... yea... LAME...

in THIS version... they're getting ready to go to a fancy dinner and SHE SHOOTS HIM...

AWE-SOME

she whips out a gun... and tells him that she KNOWS he's Superman... and she fucking SHOOTS HIM... he stands there and does the whole body language shift that let us know he's no longer in Clark-mode... and takes the glasses off to finally admit... ok... YOU GOT ME...

only Lois one ups him... she used BLANKS... which makes her look clever AND not willing to risk Clark's life... which... actually made me LIKE LOIS LANE...

my only issue was at the very end... and all I have to say is that Superman can't just fly like a million times around the Earth backwards any time he wants to change an outcome that he doesn't like OK... its just not fair...

anyway... I am bored at work... so... hope everyone is having a nice Hump Day... Ash Hump Day to be exact... I'm not Catholic... but if I were... I think I'd give up GOD for lent maybe... or maybe chocolate... nah... definitely god...

gawd... it's not really February IS IT...

I've been busy... work blows... as usual...

but I just wanted to post this...

my friends birthday is on monday... and I wanted to do something special for him... he loves pirates... like... to an extent that probably isn't healthy... anyways... on the ride Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland... there's this painting (in the caves, right before the capt's bedroom)

so it's his desktop on his home computer... and he's been trying to find a print of it online... and you just can't get it... not even on ebay... its just not available... anywhere... and we've talked about it and he has said that he doesn't like the tattoos and he's not into red heads... like... as a way to justify that he "doesn't really want it" because of blah blah blah... which is bull... hehe... and he knows it...

so... I decided to paint it for him...

it took me 3 weeks (the drawing was the hardest part) but I am really happy with how it turned out... I couldn't wait to give it to him... so he got an early present yesterday... and he actually cried a little... he said no one had ever given him something that they'd put this much effort into before...

I loved seeing his reaction to it... and I was really happy that he was so happy...

I don't usually give away my paintings... he's one of the very few people to have one... anyway...

omg...

oh... my... fucking... gawd...

I can't wait for that to come out...

maybe it's just the NIN song they used in the trailer (name that tune... you can kiss my ass) or the art style that the entire movie is filmed in... but... HOT DAAAAAAAAAAMN...
